"I checked in to a room and within an hour, another guest walked into my room with card access. When I addressed this with staff, they blamed the previous guest for not turning in their key when they requested a room change. I was told their policy was the guest would leave their key in the room when they leave which I find to not be appropriate since they more placed responsibility on the previous guest. "This is a great little gem of a hotel in Salem, nothing fancy, but is exceptionally clean, with friendly staff, quiet surroundings, and access to lots of amenities. I stay here periodically when I am in town for work, and I always feel really happy that I did."

"The moment I checked in at 3pm, I was greeted professionally by a female staff member. A heads up, parking is currently $7/day and $20 is taken from your card. Once you check out you get reimbursed the money unless you buy something from their store in the lobby. For example I stayed one day so I was reimbursed $17 back into my account once checked out. "This is an older hotel and it is showing its age. Beds were not comfortable and the sheets were white and off white. Not matching and showing age. The pillows were small and lumpy. The bathroom sink was cracked in several places. The toilet and tub were older in a beige color. The shower was patched. This hotel def needs to redo their rooms."

"Everything was good but checking in was met with a varying degree of indifference from staff of a customer standing and waiting to be helped and actual rudeness and assumptions based on my sons check in the day before. Ultimately the woman checking me in was pleasant and accommodating for my particular needs. But looking up from your computer when someone walks in the door and saying hello I’ll be right with you goes a long way. "
