"Absolutely a gem. The hotel appears a bit aged, but like the owner - is in perfect shape. It is clean and comfortable. Huge windows, plenty of towels, big rooms, awesome parking, well stocked minibar, apples and candies at the front desk…the owner has his own hands on everything. It’s rare to find such a personal touch, but caring for this hotel and travelers is his life work and it shows. As weekend guests, we had the place largely to ourselves (occupied by mostly business travelers) - so...

"Check-in procedure was a nightmare. After an hour of trying and failing to make the self-check in work, I was lucky to see an employee of the hotel and banged on a window to get their attention, or I might have been sleeping in my car that night. Hotel is down a dirt road past a junk yard and seemed really sketchy. Absolutely terrible experience - stay away!"

"Super clean room Staff were very nice Breakfast was wonderful a good choice of everything and was really fresh and tasty. There is a honesty fridge of wine and beer plus snacks which we used. This was a nice touch and we enjoyed the delicious wine on our balcony. The garden was lovely with some rabbits, a nice play area and close to a beautiful walk along the vineyards. We will definitely love to stay here again. "

Wir sind mit unserem Hund aufgrund der Hitze in ein klimatisiertes Hotel mit klimatisierten Zimmer „geflüchtet“. 2. der Pool, um uns selber abzukühlen Leider ging die Klimaanlage in allen Zimmern nicht, bzw. ist nicht ausreichend leistungsstark. "We had a pleasant stay at the Maritim Hotel Darmstadt. The hotel is clean, conveniently located next to the train station, and within walking distance of the city center. The rooms were clean, the mattress was very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel has a small pool, which is nice for cooling off after a day out. "It's a pretty standard HIE with one exception. The location is really bad. It's literally next to a railroad yard and surrounded on all other sides by industrial buildings. It's a 0.4 mile walk to get to the closest restaurant (a German Subway yikes!). The parking garage entrance was designed by the Marques de Sade for those tiny little French cars that go meepmeep. 15 euros. "Awful. The website is tricky. The pictures are tricky. They sent us to stay in another building, with no staff. It was mainly a museum, with nobody there, very creepy. I didn’t even feel safe at night. The towels were so old and dirty. The carpet was so dirty. There was dirty linens in the hallway and nobody even bother to clean it. There is no elevator and there is nobody to help you to take your luggage up. I absolutely do not recommend to stay here."

"Obwohl in keinem Buchungsportal und auch NICHTS auf der eigenen Internetseite steht, dass für die Sauna Geld verlangt wird, werden unglaubliche 14€ fällig. Das geht mal GAR NICHT!!!! Mein Zimmer war leider nicht wirklich sauber, die Klobrille war verpinkelt, der Boden und Fensterbänke nicht wirklich sauber. Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind ok, das Frühstück ist ausbaufähig, man wird satt."
