"Would have given more stars, everything was great except for two areas. First, the food is very basic, but we had heard that and there is great dining nearby. However, we were there for two nights and NEVER received maid service, even after going to the office (across the street btw) THREE times and repeatedly being promised service. Also, parking is very limited. Great location and cute property. "

"Tried to contact hotel by phone three times and once by email prior to our arrival to let them know we were getting in late. No answer or response at all. Showed up to no one working and apparently one person was responsible for 4 hotels and helped us checkin to a room that was dirty, had no trash can or soap, the shower was moldy, the sheets were like toilet paper and towels like t-shirts. The morning breakfast is cereal and starts at 730am so no coffee until then as there was no coffee...

"The Montecito Inn is a beautiful boutique inn that we have been coming to for over 30 years. This was the first time we’ve stayed there since their major renovation. The hotel and the rooms were just beautiful! The staff is always lovely and friendly. The only thing I miss about the old days is the restaurant they used to own. There is still one on property, but it’s not part of the hotel, and we did not try it. But there are SO many restaurants within one, two, or three blocks, no one...

"This hotel has a great view and nice location close to downtown SB. Room was nice and bed was comfortable. If you have a balcony room, view is great but we were facing Cabrillo street and it was so noisy. Loud motorcycles constantly cruising by. The noise from the bar and dining area also sounded very close like they were next door. It is quiet when the balcony doors are shut though. Valet was fast and most of the staff were friendly. Next time we’re in the area we’ll stay away from properties...
