"View from room"

"Check in initially went well. We were told we were given a room upgrade. The room was definitely not an upgrade!! The floor was under construction and the noise level was extremely loud! A lot of hammering and drilling. When we inquired how long the noise would continue, we were told it was from 9am to 9 pm. We asked for a quieter room and the front desk reacted with an attitude and our room was downgraded. There is no way the hotel did not know about the noise on this floor and they never seemed apologetic for assigning us to a room on it."

"Unfortunately we did not had the best experience in this hotel. Rooms are very dated- especially the bathroom- toilet sit was half broken. There is no kettle in the room and no option to get free hot water. TV remote control did not work unless you put the volume up and there were issues with wi fi in the room.Breakfast was ok and breakfast staff very nice. My 10 years old daughter left her wallet in the room with 50 euros inside. When we came back the money was gone. It was partially our fault as we should use a safe box. When we spoke to the reception staff their response was that we should put it in a safe box and they were not bothered about it. It was upsetting for my daughter especially as it was her pocket money… So pls make sure you don’t leave any money in the room! Just to add the view from the roof terrace was lovely and location was good. Athens are beautiful. I would not recommend to stay in this hotel. "

"The staff was AMAZING! Every single person went above and beyond and the hospitality was unmatched. So wonderful. The room was great and the rooftop breakfast is fantastic! 5 stars!"

"Charming, perfectly located within walking distance of all major sights. Close also to many restaurants, car hire agencies and Acropoli Metro Station. Room is spotless, shower is small but fantastic rain shower head. Lighting in the bathroom could be a bit brighter for gentlemen to shave with confidence 🙂. Sense restaurant offers an elevated dining experience — not to be missed. The breakfast menu has interesting offerings; the only negative comment is the quality of the cooking varies from one day to the next depending on who’s staffing the kitchen… Overall, an excellent hotel. We would gladly return, and highly recommend!"

"Electra Metropolis is a very solid choice in Athens, and I would stay here again, primarily for its excellent location. The hotel is perfectly positioned in Syntagma, making it incredibly easy to walk to most major sites, restaurants, and shopping areas. For a short city break, this level of convenience is hard to beat, and the area also felt very safe, even in the evenings. The room itself was on the smaller side but well designed and functional. Cleanliness was excellent throughout the stay, housekeeping and turndown service were consistently on point, which made a noticeable difference. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows were synthetic, which may not suit everyone. One of the highlights is breakfast. The rooftop setting with views of the Acropolis is genuinely special, and the food selection was good with attentive service. It’s a great way to start the day before heading out. Service across the hotel was friendly and efficient, with staff generally helpful and welcoming. Facilities are decent. The gym is located in the basement and is on the smaller side, but sufficient for a quick workout. Very good experience and highly recommended. "
