"The good:
1. Owner and cook are nice people.
2. Good view from the room.
The bad:
1. You are at the mercy of the staff as this is a remote place.
2. They charged a lot for a very basic breakfast, almost 5 times what you would get outside for better food.
3. No air conditioning and dirty rooms. There was a dead frog in our bathroom. Dust bin was very dirty.
4. The view was blocked by trees.
5. No telephone or credit card in this hotel. They want only cash.

"Hard to be critical as the Hotel is 'under new Management' as of November 2018 and understandably there will be some teething problems. The potential for the place is massive. A lovely building with a (potentially) very nice garden, river view, games room/lounge/bar area, and a location on the outskirts of the centre of town allowing easy access to the sights. "Wir haben uns in diesem Hotel rundum wohlgefühlt! Alles war unglaublich sauber und die Aussicht war einfach atemberaubend. Das Hotel liegt etwa 20 Minuten mit dem Tuk-Tuk von Kandy entfernt, aber genau das hat uns besonders gefallen – kein Smog, sondern pure Ruhe und Natur.

"Hotellet var en besvikelse, levde inte upp till bilderna eller betyget. Det var slitet och i behov av renovering. Planlösning konstig, poolen ofräsch. Inget fanns på gångavstånd, så bo hellre nere i stan.
Enda postiva var trevlig personal och fin utsikt från allmänna utrymmen (men ingen från rummet)"
"Worst experience ever, I booked and paid online but when I reached the property they said they let someone else to stay and can't make them leave, so asked me to go and find different property for that night and ask me to come back and stay next day, my family and kids all are left in the street. I would not recommend this property to anyone"
