"Would only recommend this for an overnight stay. No handy restaurants within walking distance and meagre offerings in the vending machine. 3000XPF in a cab to the city each way and 2000XPF to the airport. They are apparently putting in a rooftop restaurant and bar which will be very welcome. Can't comment on breakfast as we left too early."

"Quite noisy, party environment upstairs with rooftop bar. Youngsters getting drunk, noisy And o ly 1 elevator serves little purpose to hotel customers, as elevators occupied by rooftop bar customers Took 10 to 15 mins getting elevators."

"La grandeur des chambres et leur propreté étaient impeccables et confortables. La piscine creusée excellente avec vue sur la montagne. Végétation mature avec plusieurs arbres à fruits. Personnel serviable, attentionné, aimable. Restaurant très beau sur le bord de l’eau et très bon. Que 2 petits bémols: petit réfrigérateur dans la chambre et air climatisé pas très puissants. Nous avons adoré nos 2 jours au Royal Tahitien!"

"The hotel was in a convenient location and the staff were very nice and helpful. But the hotel needed some attention in its upkeep and amenities. The shower especially was very difficult to use. You had to step into a deep bathtub and the water sprayed everywhere making the floor wet. The room was a large suite but only had one small mirror in the bathroom. Our view was not great from the balcony."

"Reva picked us up at 2:00 am. She was incredibly kind and informative. In addition, she dropped and picked us from the town center. Breakfast was provided on the patio outside our room. We will be using this hotel again soon. We were also able to store a suitcase at her place. Her place is close to the airport. However quite far from anything else."

"Staff was very helpful for what I needed. A/c worked very well. Decent location. The floors on the 2nd floor are warped and make a lot of noise. Bed sheets and towels need bleached. The shower is pretty atrocious but it was better than the place I was previously."

"Beautiful property setting is incredible - views for days. Only one restaurant but the food’s very good staff is great"

"The staff had a lot of problem with our reservation and could not find payments, etc."

"Very nice place, very kind of them to let late night travelers use the lounge space. But the architects who forgot to put fans in the bathrooms were stupid! Hot and humid in the restrooms and the poor cleaners have to go back multiple times each day. But a lovely hotel, great folks working there!"

"Spacious 3 bedroom villa with great air conditioning in bedrooms, wonderful deck and plunge pool. Handy to have washing machine. Close to good restaurants. Welcome guide would be helpful or more communication with host / front desk re garbage etc. We had no mosquitoes and sat outside at dusk and in the evenings. Wonderful stay!"

"Overall, it was a nice place for our one night stay. Room was nice and cold, but the common areas were hot and muggy which wasn’t ideal to hang around in all day waiting for a flight. The only other area to nitpick was the bathroom in the rooms: small space and door makes maneuvering a hassle. However, close to restaurants, airport and the market."

"We stayed for one night in Oct. 2026. We had a junior suite with a private plunge pool and lots of space. We had our meals there too, which were surprisingly delicious. French and American food choices were available. Since the property was located on a high cliff the views were beautiful. My only criticism is that all the outside decking and walking spaces were painted white, and there were several spots where there were one or two steps, which made it very difficult to distinguish. As...

"I stayed in the Kava bungalow which I thought was excellent. That said, the stairs to the loft where the main bed is are small and steep so something to keep in mind if you need to try to make it down to use the bathroom and back up in the dead of night. The grounds and the view are straight out of your favourite travel influencer’s TikTok, so that’s a highlight, for sure. And the food at the restaurant was great. The whole place is up a steep hill so it’s not really walking friendly but if you...

"Great little spot where you have privacy and share common areas like kitchen, bathrooms, showers. The host was helpful and friendly. The pool was great. Peaceful place. We stayed one afternoon-evening before catching our red eye flight back to Hawaii. It was a nice spot to take a nap, enjoy the pool, and freshen up. Would like to go back and check out the tree house! Maybe next time :)"

"This is a great property if you wish to explore the south side of the island, or if you have your own vehicle. Unfortunately it is NOT 2.5 miles from the airport or the cruise ship port. It is on the opposite side of the island, Depending on traffic, a 90 - 150 minute drive. $115 taxi drive. You can get a 3 day tourist bus pass for 1 franc (a bus ride is 4 francs) but the busses stop running at 4:00 local time. The closest grocery store (outstanding selection of fresh fruit & veggies, meats, and...

"The Teahupo’o surf break is basically directly out front (off-shore at the reef, of course) but water taxis are right at the shore by the front gate of pension so the location could not be better from that POV. It’s a short walk (5 minutes) on a nice beach path from the Teahupo’o photo wave spot and Olympic rings, or you can drive to the pension and park but only if you’ve got a vehicle capable of river-crossing - so that adds to the charm of the place as well. The pension is quite nice, super...

"room was clean, stains on the sheets. breakfast was baguettes and ba"
