"Such a grand old building with an interesting history. The manager was lovely to deal with. My Queen room had the basics and was clean and tidy. There were 2 toilets and 2 showers on the ground floor but watch out if the toilet paper has run out by early morning! The lounge area upstairs is great! Some parking behind the building but I had to park on the street - which was fine. I stayed for 3 nights and would definitely stay there again."

"Time we spent well there loved the views from the top floor, but as we started to settle in and actually take notice of the place the it was not clean properly, dished still had lip prints and hand prints on them, dishes, pots and cutlery was not washed up and cleaned properly, floor was making the bottom of our foot black not sure if they mopped, sheets had stains on them, curtains had dirt or mould on it, fans and lights dusty and looked like they haven’t been cleaned in ages. It’s not kids...

"Overall very good choice for a few days in Townsville. Clean motel style room and bathroom. Good wifi TV etc. Quiet apart from the odd Stone Curlew; but possibly a little noisy if there is a Cowboys game on the weekend. Woolworth’s a short walk away. 10 minutes to restaurants in South Townsville. Staff friendly and could not have been more helpful. "
