"Carnegie House is a beautiful property near restaurants and on the Toftrees golf course. The rooms are large, inviting and comfortable. Bathrooms decorated beautifully and generous shower room. The pub and restaurant serve delicious food and a great bar selection. I love the cozy sitting areas off the lobby, one with a warm inviting fireplace. Highly recommend. "

"Overall, the hotel was clean. Our tv in our room didn't work. Maintenance came up and tried to fix it which we really appreciated and the man was extremely nice. He could not fix the problem but offered to get us another room. The manager came up and told us there were no rooms the same as what we had available to move to. He offered a smaller room at the other end of the hotel or to stay in our room and apply a discount. My husband and I agreed to stay for a discount. We ended up needing to stay another night and the front desk did accomodate that at the same rate. However, when we checked out, there was no record of a "discounted rate". The manager we talked to was not on duty and the front desk had no idea what I was talking about. She said she would get ahold of him and someone would be in contact. I have yet to here from anyone and they have charged me $100 more for the second night than I even orignially paid for the first night. Just not sure why the communication was not clear."

"The ac unit was apparently broken in the room I initially booked but it was also broken in my room. It was extremely hot. The shower was broken you could take an extremely hot or cold but not medium temp shower and water would spew everywhere. "

"Was in town for a basketball tournament for my daughter. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean & the staff were super friendly and helpful. The pool is a bit tiny for a hotel of its size but that’s literally the only complaint u could have about this property. We will definitely be back again next year for the tournament. "
