"The room was filthy, the tub had 5 inches of standing water in it. I had to snake out a giant wad of hair from the tub drain. Door did not seem to lock properly, had to use chair to keep door and curtain closed. This was the 2nd room we tried, the first had no functioning ac and was so filthy, ceiling sagging. Dogs barking in the room next door. The entire hotel was horrible, dirty, rundown, had what appeared to be unhoused people or prostitutes hanging around, partying loudly in the corridors....

"Find somewhere else to stay. Cockroaches, room smelled, shower leaking upon entering the room and handle almost came off when turning it off, broken shelf with screws sticking out, stains on sheet and dirt and crumbs under the sheets. We checked out once we saw the cockroaches running around and booked a different hotel about 15 minutes away that was much better. Dealing with OYO’s customer service was a joke, sending the same messages and saying I would get a response for a refund then not....

"Tru hotel by Hilton fell short of my expectations for Hilton. The room : the whole toilet moved when using, I’m afraid someone will get hurt. I wanted to mention this upon our check out however there wasn’t anyone at the front desk and three others were waiting as well. A non English speaking worker used her phone to translate there would be someone by 7am. It was 6:45 and we found that unacceptable and left . The “included” breakfast was the most limited I’ve ever experienced and not worth...

"Look… We were in a jam. We reserved a $240/night room in Richmond and it was unsafe. There were no other rooms in RVA so we had to branch out. The room at Days Inn Ashland was a little sketchy, at best. "

"I booked only because of the pool party my daughter was having and get there to check in and they didn’t have a pool pool was under construction but it never said that on the check in "

"Room was clean, staff were nice and it’s in a good area convenient to lots of shopping/restaurants. "

"Elevator was not working and disabled daughter had to climb 3 flights of stairs several times. "

"Parking is fine. Front staff person was rude. Waited 20 minutes to get checked in. Noone was at the desk and when they arrived didn't apologize for the wait"

"Quite frankly, that was my ONLY issue. Cabinets were bare. Just a few essential items would be helpful, especially for a family stay. Overall it was a very comfortable stay, and the desk staff were so nice! "

"This is a classic motel with room doors on the outside and no elevator. The property was well taken care of. It all looked like it had been remodeled not too long ago and was kept clean. I thought the bed was comfortable and the TV worked. There was no parking the first night for some reason, but I was able to park at an adjoining property. Our bathtub was clogged the first night, but a man came and fixed it as soon as I reported the problem. Basically, if you can get it at a cheap price,...

"Room was super clean, the check-in co-worker was very efficient and kind, and the area and hotel in general were quiet and comfortable. Was a nice surprise to have a free hot breakfast included. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"I have NEVER been to a hotel that permitted construction at 10:90 p.m. and told by the front desk….”we ask the workers to stop, but they won’t “. The management was made aware and responded, “there is nothing more we can do” Worst hotel visit ever!! "

"Drug paraphernalia on the nightstand. Sheets have stains , sink and room not cleaned before checkin. Left this hotel mid-stay to go to another. Expedia nor the hotel refunded my stay even though I provided pictures"

"Breakfast was good. Potatoes weren’t hot but there was plenty of other food to eat. Frankie, Portia and Terrance were all super helpful. They were always busy cleaning or doing something. Kudos on such great workers. It’s definitely a hotel we’d stay at again. "

"The room was recently renovated and it is very nice, the mattresses and pillows were excellent and so comfortable. The walk-in shower was awesome and plenty of hot water. The coffee is fresh ground - delicious. The staff were kind and friendly and check in was spot on. I stayed at a Hampton the night before and this was so much better. "
