"Elsje was the most lovely person, she is so friendly and welcoming. She had great tips about what to do. Unfortunately my sister and I got sick but she was so kind and helpful. We were sad to leave and wished we could have stayed longer. The maison is beautiful, great pool, very good breakfast and the elderly chicken adorable! Highly recommend this place! "

"Our stay was amazing! We were in and out, staying just one night, but loved our stay at The Whale on Main. Thomas was an amazing host, he walked us through where to go in town and what to see. And as we were leaving, he helped us plan the path we should take to our next destination. He even printed out a map for us that included all the stops! I would absolutely recommend staying here for a wonderful visit to Hermanus."

"Booked a one night stay with my Dad as a last minute thing. Was expecting cheap and cheerful, what we got was a million times better! Great host, room massive and spotless. "Tolle Zimmer, sehr freundliche Besitzer und Personal. Nur der Service beim Essen hatte etwas gelitten. Das gleich bei zwei unabhängigen Bestellungen diese jeweils vergessen worden sind, war schon ärgerlich. Dennoch eine ganz tolle Unterkunft. "Absolutely stunning place to stay. Our bedroom view was of the whole of Gordon’s bay. Superbly comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was a feast with perfectly poached eggs, sides, avocado, croissants, etc! Ate way too much!!! Add to that just how wonderfully welcoming and attentive our hosts were. More than that, they also gave excellent advice on our planned excursions. They love this area and want you to love it too! We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. "
