Friendly staff but slightly noisy

You get what you pay for, cheap and cheerful. Stayed here for a stopover, rooms are clean but showers a bit grim and only gets luke warm. Staff were friendly. Only issue was the noise, there was allways a constant noise, if it wasnt the cars on the motorway it was the sound of a generator or what sounded like the bass of a speaker.

The hotel has good link to the motorway which makes it easy to travel in and out. Plenty of covered parking spaces and secure carpark. The staff in the hotel are very nice and helpful. The room was small, it felt a bit crowded but it was clean and you got everything you need. There is no gel, shampoo nor hairdryer so I’d recommend to bring your own. The room had a major flaw though, the window was not closed properly and you could only open it from the outside (which you don’t have access to, which meant you get all the motorway noise, so if you are a light sleeper you will have a tough time sleeping. The breakfast was a massive letdown, there was only bread, jam and butter, yogurt, cereals and tea/coffee. You will be better off saving the money and venturing into the town centre, which is 10-15 minutes walking from the hotel, and finding a cafe there. Overall, it was a good experience. You get what you pay for.

We found it disturbing having to pay an additional security deposit and an additional charge for some local taxes.I feel that all charges should be shown at the time of booking and at time of arrival. We found that the room lacked enough ventilation for a good night sleep. The property provides good value for travellers without much luggage.

Greeted by v. Confusing signs in car parking to find lift and access. Friendly and helpful staff in reception; but disconcerting to be handed TV remote with instructions to hand it back when leaving. Room smelled like old person's flat. Large room containing only bed, headboard with lights and self-assembly shelves. Window open, above noisy motorway; required handle from reception to shut, and couldn't be closed to. Noisy road disturbed us. Nicely tiled wet-room, but only cheap shower fitting, installed at height for 5' person only, and hanging off wall; the rose fell off in use. One had the impression that the hotel, built in 2013, had had good ideas but ran out of money, and little done since. The bed was very comfortable.

We were there with a large group, everything worked wonderfully, very uncomplicated. From parking and check in to cleaning and breakfast, everything was easy and worked. Very helpful staff. Would always book there again 👍

Value king, got a room with a double bed and twin bed for around 45 dollars. Room could easily sleep three people and had ample room (atleast compared to Paris hotels). Building itself was also nicer and larger than I expected for the budget price. Would stay there again as Thionville could be a great hub for travel.
