The only issues were that the living room is massive with only 2 uncomfortable manual recliners in the middle of the room for seating. A love seat would be ideal. "The room was great. Pool maintained. Food DELICIOUS! However, there is no real beach on the property or within walking distance. Everything else was just fine. The staff were friendly and helpful."

"The hottub was not working the three days that I stayed. The first day they said it would be operating by the next day. I more or less stayed there for a hottub. That being said, the breakfast was nice, the staff was friendly, and the room was comfortable. I’m sure the hottub will work in the future."

"It’s a decent property and fairly clean although there were splatters on the walls and all of the hallways needed vacuumed. The breakfast area was nice. Pool area is super small. The room was okay. Sheets and pillows could have been a nicer standard. Bed was comfortable. Ironing board was broken. Altogether a nice stay. Just some things to touch up and repair. Mostly quiet until the last night."

"This property is a slice of Island Time perfection. Completely and beautifully renovated, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The location is off the main road, quiet and laid back. It has a wonderful view of the bay, a lovely pool area, and a quick drive to the restaurants and shops of Matlacha. Without reservation I highly recommend Matlacha on Shoreview for your next island get-away."

"Incredible location on the beach. Clean and well looked after. Sad to see the pier no longer there after hurricane Ian a few years ago. Hope to come back once it has been rebuilt"
