It was lovely to be able to sit out on a balcony and read. The manager arranged a great safari to Bandula National Park and provided us with a very tasty breakfast to take with us. "Absolutely beautiful property. Right on the beach with easy access. Hanuman langur monkeys were right outside the room. They were so cute! Room had poor lighting, but everything else was perfect! Hotel next door has a superb buffet- best i have ever eaten in terms of variety! Access road was bad and there was no place for our driver to stay so he had to find his own lodging."

"Awesome property and owner. The person was so nice. He saved the day and we slept through our alarm in the morning, and gently knocked on our door to make sure we were not missing out on the safari. He even gave us bus tips to get to Ella in the evening. And we had a lovely chat with him in the afternoon on his veranda while staying cool from the sun. He’s a great guy and very caring for his guests. Very highly recommend this place! "

"We used the hotels as a base for a safari tour and it was an ideal base. The location is great, being a short walk (1500m) out of Tissa. Lake Wind Resort is a beautiful heritage building that has had life injected again by new management. The team could not have been more helpful and attentive.
