You can tell this hotel is quite old and not well maintained. The carpet tiles were separating and had an odour, and the laminate flooring was lifting. There were many stains on the walls and even a few on the sheets, though we didn’t complain about them. On the positive side, the beds were relatively comfortable, and the location was convenient, close to many restaurants and the harbour, which was beautiful at night.
The owner recommended a nearby seafood restaurant, but we found the food disappointing, the portions were small, the flavour was average, and the prices were quite high. Unfortunately, on our way back to the hotel, we overheard the owner on the phone saying that guests he referred would “pay whatever amount is recommended.” This made us feel uncomfortable for the rest of our stay and raised concerns about transparency.
Breakfast was very minimal and, surprisingly, there was no coffee provided. We have been traveling around Korea by car and, unfortunately, this was the highest-priced accommodation with the lowest quality we’ve experienced so far.
Overall, while the location is good, the hotel and management could benefit from better upkeep, attention to cleanliness, and more honesty with guests.
