The hotel itself was nice, room was clean and everything in working order. My issue was the staff communication with the airport shuttle. For context, I arrived at Pearson Intl at 10pm, was ready at the terminal 3 hotel shuttle section by 10:25pm at which time i called the hotel and informed the staff member exactly where i was waiting: “Terminal 3 hotel shuttle station” to which she replied that their shuttle would arrive to pick me up in 15-20 minutes. I waited for 30mins before calling back and telling her the same thing and she confirmed that the shuttle would be there in 5-10mins. I waited 20 before calling back. At this point I’d been waiting outside in -4 degrees with only my tropical attire for 50 minutes. The next time i called it was a gentleman who picked up and after i voiced my frustration at the unexpected wait he informed me that their hotel shuttle does not have clearance for the hotel shuttle section, i was supposed to wait in another area. That is all fine and dandy but why the hell had his coworker not mentioned this in the first two calls I made? The driver even said that he had driven past twice looking for me, so why didn’t the hotel at the very least call me to make sure i was still waiting for them? Leaving three stars because the room was great and the second employee was helpful. Minus two stars for the first employee.
