"This is a very strange property. There are a lot of hotels, private condominiums sharing the same facilities but having separate gated access. The common grounds, however, aren’t being looked after so well. The Selvamar section we stayed in was okay, but a bit tired now. "This is our third time at the property. The view is unbeatable. Howler monkeys come by close. Comfortable apartments. Friendly staff. The only reason for 4 starts vs 5 is that the apartments are a bit tired and outdated. "

"Beautiful rooms and area. Lovely and quiet. One note to mention, the beach across the road is not the crystal blue waters as the sand is dark. It’s also a busy area for fishing so we didn’t swim. There’s some nice restaurants within walking distance and a great grocery store. "

The drive from Liberia airport was a long one, but totally worth it to drive into the little village of Montezuma and into the jungle paradise of Ylang Ylang. Our room was right on the ocean. Going to sleep with the crash of the ocean waves outside our door. Beaches - mostly empty save the hermit crabs and occasional local dog. Staff - outstanding. Bed - comfortable.
