Farmstay in Town of De Witt

"I will start with the positives. My king bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely quiet and clean. The hotel was by far the least expensive in a road populated with at least 6 (?) other hotels and was extremely convenient to Syracuse University, I-90 and the airport. You get what you pay for and I believe this room was a great value, particularly on SU graduation weekend. I would stay there again. The negatives: There was never anyone at the front desk all weekend. When I arrived at 6 pm Friday, I waited 20 minutes (and pressed the call button) and I could not find anyone to check me in. I did not have my cell phone with me and thus could not call the number that was there as an alternative. NOTE bring your cell phone. I do think the front desk person uses that phone when he is…wherever he is. After dinner the call button worked and I got checked in. The next negative is not a front-end problem, but rather (I think) an Expedia problem. My room description stated that breakfast was provided. That is absolutely not true. In fact there is not even coffee in the hotel. No coffee makers in the room and none in the lobby. I found a nice local diner and got myself caffeinated in short order. Finally, the internet is free, but extremely unstable. It cut out every minute or so."

"AC/Heat is loud since they're using a stand alone unit, seem like the main HVAC is not working. Bathroom drain is clogged big time, both tub and sink. Water up to ankel when shower. The hotel seems run down a bit. May be they're planning to do renovation. Overall great price, but you'll need to deal with some issues."

"Under construction so it’s a bit messy. I did sleep great and the staff was excellent. Overall an okay stay."

"Great option close to Syracuse University. Breakfast was good and replenished often. There is an indoor pool. Fresh coffee and teas are readily available in the morning."

"The room was not clean, clearly had smokers in it before. Floors were dirty … overall poor experience. I ended up not staying in the room the second night. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful."

"We actually had a bad experience there. The bathtub was clogged up. There was no body wash and they took a long time to take care of issues they came twice and problem was not resolved"

"Staff was good and friendly. Breakfast was good in the AM - bagel and coffee. The room was a bit grubby, not dirty, but with areas that seemed a bit worn/weathered. It was not my favorite and I was on the first floor facing woods which had a back door, which as a female did not feel fully safe but it was locked. A bit of a crowded parking lot that made it hard to find a spot at night when I arrived. Front desk guy was friendly. I was passing through the area and so stayed only 7/8 hours and enough to sleep on the bed that was comfy."

"Room was well cleaned. Staff was friendly and quick to respond. Ample parking. Just some observations: The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable, but the layout made it difficult to hang cloths up and there were no hangers in the room (staff provided them upon request). It seemed the bathroom was recently remodeled but the bathtub needed reglazing. Overall everything lived up to expectations. "
