"I am writing about my recent stay at CenterWay Hotel Buffalo North Near University, which was an extremely distressing and unacceptable experience.
After driving for more than 10 hours, my husband and I arrived at the hotel at approximately 2:00 AM, expecting a clean and ready room. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The room assigned to us was completely unprepared:
The door key did not work after multiple attempts
The bed was unmade, like someone had just left in a hurry
Trash was left in the room
The carpet was dirty
The entire room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke
When we brought this to the attention of the front desk, the attendant was unhelpful and dismissive, advising us to "take it up with your third party" instead of offering any resolution or alternative accommodations; he didn't provide a receipt AFTER charging my card for the room.
To make matters worse, the hotel was fully booked, leaving us with no options. As a result, my husband and I were forced to spend the night sleeping in our car after an already exhausting drive.
Following this experience, it took over three weeks of repeated effort to obtain an acknowledgement from the hotel for an and approval for a refund, which has added further frustration and stress.
This situation is completely unacceptable. At a minimum, guests should be provided with a clean, habitable room and basic customer service—neither of which was delivered in this case. AVOID THIS PROPERTY. Pictures are very misleading here."
