"Great location for srart the shimanami kaido cycling route. Clean and well maintained hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet with many choices of Japanese food. Friendly and polite staff. There have a forwarding luggage to your next hotel if you do a bike ride, cost 2,200 yen per suitcase. We got a habor view double room. We love the view. Small, but function room. Really clean. Good size of bathroom with all nice amenities. I was worried about the size of double bed for us, but it was actually comfortable than my expectations. Note on the AC, we don't think it worked or it was controlled by the center. You cannot adjust your room temperature to your likes. We stayed in 45F in an evening, it was quite warm. So we contacted the front desk, they came immediately to open the big window to let the fresh air in. There is an air fliter in our room. We would stay here again. Friendly and helpful staff, great location, excellent breakfast, and clean room."

"Charming hillside hotel with fantastic views. The room was spacious, clean, modernised with the exception of the bathroom which is still more of a traditional, dated Japanese bathroom, however, it was still very clean and of course functioning well. The Japanese breakfast in the morning was very lovely, accompanied by great views again. The lobby has a cafe where they do great latte art. There’s also a letter room where you can print photos and send letter which was a nice touch. Overall I really enjoyed my stay. One note of caution, this really is a hillside hotel, we initially planned to walk because google map says it was 16 minutes but it would be quite a trek up hill with very narrow paths so driving / taxi would be the way to go and there’s a taxi rank at the station which would be about a 10 mins journey and <1500 yen. "
