"I liked the classic feel of the hotel. It reminded me of a place from the 1950s. The staff were friendlier than chain hotel staff and really made you feel welcome. The breakfast was also good, yet had the same items everyday. I loved the fresh flowers on each table. Only problem is it's in a suburban area away from St Pete activities."

"Great location with a beautiful view! Just across the street from the beach and within 10 minutes to restaurants in St. Pete and other areas! My only feedback would be that the furniture is quite old/stained, the carpet in the bedrooms is also in bad shape. At night the carpet would smell, which I assume is due to the age of the carpet. Other than that, it's a nice place."

"Although we did not choose to stay at our hotel because there was little to do around the hotel for 4 teenage boys the customer service was wonderful. Val was amazing and understanding! It is a wonderful option if you have a family with littler children, want to cook your own meals and enjoy thr pool set back from a breathe taking beach! Place was spacious !"

"Great location for us - easy access to the beach, sloppy Joe’s and Caddy's are walking distance along the beach/boardwalk. Our favorite restaurant Middle Grounds Grill is also within walking distance along with several other places to eat/drink/listen to live music. Hotel was ok. Amenities in the room were adequate-nice big TV, a/c, full size fridge/freezer, ice maker. We stayed 1 night and enjoyed the sunset from our balcony. It was a good value for us. "

"Ok there is a lot this resort does right but can improve on some things. The activities for the kids are endless! Our group from 3-12 loved the waterslide on the beach & pool with the DJ/kids games was a lot of fun. The beach is beautiful and it perfect for young kids!! One of the biggest downsides is the elevators. They take forever to come and are often packed when you get one. I think this comes from the resort being older and not having any service elevators so the employees have to use the elevators as well which can often take them up. This resort is in need of some TLC as the rooms are dated and worn. The rug in our living room was fraying and some of the clips for the drapes were broken. Also during the stay my daughter had dropped a bag of chips in our room and while I did my best to clean it up there were still some small crumbs that needed vacuuming up. When housekeeping had not come by 3:30 I had called to check if they would be coming and was told that while they try to make it to every room each day they have been very busy so some days they have not been able to accommodate everyone. While they did come clean our room I do think this is worth noting if daily housekeeping is important to you. We did also find some dead bugs on the floor near the front window when we first got to our room so I don't think they do a really thorough job. Overall fun place but if you are expecting a higher end resort it is not for you. "
