"There were only 4 very small beat up pillows on a king sized bed. The shower was awful... Couldn't t even use it looked.thatnnad. You could see daylight under the door. We had to use one of the 2 available washclothes to wipe off atamda.by the bed to.evwn be able to set a drink on them. They were so.dorty, they were sticky. The hallways were filthy. I would not even list this place on the hotel listings as a choice. We should get our money back. Shouldn't have to clean a room you pay good...

"We stayed for only one night. Our experience was top notch. This is a great old hotel with an 1800’s vibe, but impeccably restored. Rooms are clean, well appointed and the staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Bill at the front desk. It’s right in the center of the action in town. The restaurant was also great, good food and good value."

"Hillcrest is up the hill a few minutes walk to downtown, in a very quiet area. The bedroom could use some updating - old curtains, drapes, bedspread, etc. - looks rundown. Bed was comfortable but room was very dusty. The house was just sold to a new owner, so the house is in transition. I do want to comment that the Innkeeper/B&B hosts that live on the property, Kyle and Christy Ann, (not the owners) are extremely nice and helpful."
