"property is in a great location. We stayed in the Esplanade Tower, and the room was spacious enough for two people for a short stay. The bed was large, but it consisted of two mattresses joined together, with a noticeable gap in the middle that made it uncomfortable.
The balcony was very small, not particularly clean, and the outdoor chairs were old, worn, and uncomfortable. only bath towels and hand towels were provided—no face washers.

"All around excellence. Great view of the bay. Short walk to the boardwalk. Easy walk to the pier. Breakfast was great. The staff is just the best. We felt welcomed by everyone and were well taken care of. I recommend the Riley to anyone coming to Cairns."

"The one bedroom apartment was good but they should advertise on their website that if you use the power in the kitchenette that it could trigger a $1,000 bill from the Fire Brigade for their "over sensitive" smoke alarms. Therefore we could only use the microwave which is not as good. They also don’t supply dishcloths or dish washing liquid which we receive in more basic accommodation."

"The staff we checked in with were amazing. Our luggage had been left behind at Melbourne airport and the staff were so accommodating and helped us with supplies of amenities that we needed while we waited for our luggage to arrive. The staff"

"Rooms were nicely decorated however for a 5* resorts I was expecting the bathrooms to be modern and beautiful. They were not! And also we found (we had 3 rooms) mould in all showers. Reception and staff from La Mesa were very friendly however staff at the pool bar were not nice and cocktails were not up to the quality we expected from again a 5* resort. Very noisy due to school hols and kids take over all amenities. We will not be back as it didn’t provide value for our money and it was not a 5*...
