"Stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon, here are the good and bad: Good: 1. Hotel staff were great and very nice. 2. We loved the go green initiatives the hotel was doing. We could elect to not have the room cleaned for a daily free beer each! 3. The location was great for us, but is definitely in a party area so it gets loud Fridays and Saturdays. Overall good food and drink around. 4. It was right next to Munich East bahnhoff and a bus stop for easy transport. Bad: 1. The shower was bad. Especially with traveling and sightseeing, we looked forward to showering at the end of the day. However, the temperature never stabilized, and fluctuated between very cold and painfully hot. It was dangerous as we both were burnt several times. It became a task of going in and out of the water stream and showers took a long time because of it. 2. The air conditioning is an “air sharing system”. The room was consistently probably around 75-78 degrees F (24-27 degrees C). Neither my wife or I are big people, but prefer cool rooms to sleep in, so this climate made for some uncomfortable nights. We had to keep the window open which helped, but that also let in bugs and noise. 3. The bedding and pillows were very uncomfortable. The bed was flat and not soft. It was a mat on top of a box frame. The pillows were heavily used with almost no filling. We had to use 2-3 for comfort. With my back issues, this made sleeping difficult. Overall it was okay. I wouldn’t recommend staying here."

"A lovely hotel in an excellent location for sightseeing and access to the lovely river walks. The transport system is excellent and the station at Rosenheimer Platz is only a couple of minutes walk away. You can get here direct from the Airport/Flughafen on the S1 or S8 lines (S8 is a shorter journey through pretty countryside) The old centre of Munich is about a 20 minute walk, or 2 stops on the train to Marien-platz (any of the trains - direction Pasing). At Marien-platz you can get trains to Allianz Stadium (U6 - direction Garching) and Olympic Park (U3 - direction Moosach). There is also a sightseeing bus and plenty of buses and trams but it is beautiful to wander around the on foot. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a bath and a shower which suited us perfectly. Access to the separate toilet was a little tight, being right behind the door and opposite the closet, but that is the only negative. We enjoyed the use of the swimming pool, and the changing rooms and showers were excellent. We didn't use the sauna as it was 2 separate rooms, one male one female, and was a nude sauna with no bathing costumes allowed. The ambiance in the relaxation room could be improved with some background music or sounds and aromatherapy oils, but it was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and never overcrowded, and every member of staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and professional. We would definitely use this hotel again if we return to the area."

"I would definitely recommend this Hotel. Coming from the US, Holiday Inn is viewed as a mid-grade Hotel chain that used to be a leader but no longer is. That is not the case in European countries. Breakfast was nothing short of awesome, way beyond and US located chain hotel. Standard Service's, checking in and out was fine but ask for a concierge and you are on your own. As for help understanding transportation via train, bus etc and you quickly realize the attitude is "not my job, go away"."

"Excellent bar and fitness room. The property is not maintained properly. Had electricity (lighting going on and off) issues in the room, but since I stayed very shortly for 1 night, I did not bring it up. In addition, most of the international channels on TV are not really working (they are there, but there is no service)."
