Great place to stay

This B&B is is great. It is in an antebellum mansion on top of a hill above the Black Warrior River. Our room was furnished with antiques and had everything you would need. It was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good too. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I would definitely stay here again.

What a gem

What a gem! It it's located on a very quiet street in a beautiful area easily walkable to the Strip. The grounds are impeccable with lots of grass, a hot tub in a gazebo, a fairy garden, and several porches. The check in was very easy and the owners do an excellent and friendly job explaining how the remotes, locks, etc work. The breakfast was amazing: biscuits with sausage gravy, eggs, bacon and sausages, fresh fruit, coffee and OJ. Everything was delicious, and the owners are some of the nicest people I've met. Anytime I'm back in Tuscaloosa, I know where I'll stay!

First B&B Experience

Our first try at a bed and breakfast was a very good experience. The hosts were very helpful and attentive. The facility, even though it was over 100 years old, was in immaculate condition. The breakfast was excellent.

Beautiful B&B within walking distance to UA

Awesome stay during our visit to UA for Freshman orientation. The owners and staff were in touch with us before, during, and after our stay, giving us area information and ensuring we had everything we needed. Short walk to campus and the Strip for dinner. Wonderful home-cooked breakfast and conversation the next morning. We cannot wait to visit again!

I can’t say enough good things about this Bed and Breakfast. The owners are wonderful, the house amazing and the food was delicious. We were there to visit UA and if my daughter decides to attend I will never stay anywhere else. Can’t get a better experience.

Ok with a lot of rules? Visit this historic gem.

The property is very nice but it was uncomfortable because the owner is overly imposing and hovers too much. Some people like that and would be happy to be looked after that way. For us it was too much. We need space and more leeway to have flexibility as to when to come and go etc.

What a great find on campus!!

This is a well kept secret on campus. Would be fabulous for game weekends for folks who want to stay on campus but then retire to the peace and quiet of this little side street. This would also be great for girl's weekend or family reunion. The family who runs the B&B is lovely and very attentive without being overbearing. There are plenty of side porches and a beautiful yard and outdoor area perfect for weddings. The house is old but very solid and has all the modern amenities you would ever want while retaining it's charm and character. They have a game room with pool table and flat screen tv, several beautifully appointed suites (six total, I believe), hot tub and more. Don't miss the little gift shop for fabulous locally handmade soaps and University of Alabama jewelry to show your team spirit.
