"I had a balcony room- it was spacious and nice. I HATE hotels room where you can’t open a window or have any source of fresh air and this balcony was an amazing feature. Turned the A/C off and was able to have a nice breeze coming into the room. There’s a bus stop on the corner and scooters everywhere to ride. Some Friends went with me but stayed in other areas of hotel and they complained about the loudness of the doors automatically closing and slamming shut in the hallways. I had room 201 and it was buffered by the elevator and the ice machine room. So I heard nothing. "

"The air conditioning in the room was incredibly noisy. It was like sleeping in a construction zone. There is also a lot of noise from the bars outside on the weekends which is more to be expected. "

"What a gorgeous hotel and property! It is an absolute destination whether on business travel, travel with family, or visiting Austin on holiday. We were first greeted by the extremely kind front desk reception Alexis (March 2026) who was so helpful and offered us an early check in and a beautiful view higher floor room! Her hospitality set the tone for our lovely stay. The hotel room was so spacious, large bathroom and rain shower, and comfortable beds! We also spent a whole day enjoying the blissful spa amenities (amazing massage and whirlpool room) and ended the day at the beautiful outdoor pool. Overall, it was such a wonderful stay! We highly recommend The Fairmont Downtown Austin to anyone for a memorable stay! "

The property itself is impeccably clean. Our room was spotless, modern, and well-maintained—fresh linens, comfortable bed, and no detail overlooked. Housekeeping did an outstanding job every day without ever being intrusive. The common areas were just as pristine.
