"Good location but wouldn't stay again. Photos through Expedia must have been taken when the property was refurbished many years ago because the reality was a very tired hotel. Chips in the joinery, no exhaust fan extremely average small TV that was problematic to operate. Dirty carpet. No parking aside from pay-to-park council parking. Free overnight but limited to four hours between 8.30 and 5.30. No block out blinds. Terrible AC. Really noisy and a horrible screech from the water system...

"The room was not cleaned to an acceptable standard and was noticeably dusty upon arrival. Furthermore, I was incorrectly charged for breakfast even though breakfast was included in my room rate."

"Have used this motel style accommodation a number of times , although not 5* the property is clean and tidy and quite comfortable. The cutlery supplied has never affected me before but this time i brought my own bread for toast only to find no knives , this apparently was a normal event not one off but was inconvenient,"

"Beautiful architecture from the 1920s when Parliament House opened in 1927. Restored to perfection. All the staff were migrants and all outstandingly polite friendly and helpful and I loved Pixel the Labrador the ex sniffer dog who lives with the General Manager I believe It’s an elegant statement of a bygone era and well managed. It’s a credit to everyone from front staff to the GM Well done"

"The hotel is modern, clean, and well-equipped. Breakfast was very good. There's not much within a walking distance of the hotel. Something we hadn't appreciated was that there is no free parking available on site. You can either pay to park or attempt to find street parking nearby. We chose the latter and were fortunate to find a spot within 200m or so. But the hotel didn't seem busy at the time so my guess is parking may be at a premium other times. Overall, a good hotel."

"Spacious rooms. Temperature of the water in the shower constantly switched between red hot and cold. The $10 voucher for skipping housekeeping is useless - can only be used against the biggest breakfast (which is most definitely not worth $34 each). Chromecast used to stream to the TV would not work. Tech in the rooms seemed old."

"Firstly, had an upgrade offer from hotel which we accepted but when checking in staff all rooms were taken so no upgrade. Secondly, we asked to confirm addition of 2 kida for breakfast and received no confirmation back. Thirdly, room's Bar fridge was empty"
