Anantara Veli Maldives Resort - Adults Only

"We traveled all the way from Guyana to the Maldives for our honeymoon, with a combined flying time of almost 24 hours, and I can honestly say it was absolutely worth the journey. We spent 8 nights at Anantara Veli and had an amazing experience from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived in the Maldives, everything was taken care of, and on our departure, our luggage was handled right up until we checked in for our flight home. After traveling such a long distance, having everything organized so smoothly made the experience completely stress free. The buffet breakfast at Fushi Café was something to look forward to every morning, with so many options to choose from. We enjoyed all of the restaurants on the islands, and the service throughout our stay was exceptional. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful. The overwater spa at Dhigu was so peaceful. We also did glass kayaking, snorkeling at Picnic Island, and the dolphin cruise, which were all incredible experiences. An unforgettable honeymoon and a beautiful resort that we will always remember! ❤️"

"Our stay at Anantara Dhigu Maldives was truly a dream come true. ❤️🌴 We came here for our honeymoon, and it was the perfect place to celebrate such a special chapter in our lives. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by breathtaking turquoise waters, beautiful beaches, and such a peaceful atmosphere. The resort is absolutely stunning, and the service was exceptional. A special thank you to Ram, who was absolutely amazing throughout our stay. His warmth, kindness, and attention to detail made us feel so welcomed and truly made our honeymoon even more special. Everything from the beautiful villa and incredible food to the gorgeous sunsets and peaceful surroundings was unforgettable. We’re leaving with so many wonderful memories that we’ll treasure forever. Thank you to the entire Anantara Dhigu team, and especially Ram, for making our honeymoon so magical. We truly didn’t want to leave and hope to come back someday! 🌊☀️🥂❤️"

"The really good bits - the staff are second to none. They are committed to doing the best job possible for their guests, they work extremely hard and go the extra mile to see that everything is to your liking. As a solo female traveller i felt safe, they checked in on me and gave me advice on all things Maafushi. Food.... chef made every effort to present the food well and the menu was standard with a buffet breakfast and hot evening meal of choice. Front of house welcome was lovely. The building needs a refurb. My room was adequate but really does need an uplift from the style perspective as its dated and shabby. There is barely any internet at this hotel! Signal constantly dropping out with no hope of working from this location. The hotel and pool is much smaller than it looks on the photos. There is building work right next door.....people should be made aware before they book. The beach is literally 2 minutes away - sunbeds are available but they have to be requested on an individual basis, there are no parasols available and one of the porters has to run down the road carrying the sunbed. There is no beach presence from the hotel perspective, though you can get a free sunbed and parasol which are already set up on the beach by the other hotels if you buy a drink / food. This works - triton are missing a trick here. One final point of feedback: the staff are what keep this hotel afloat and primarily the reason for the good rating. It would be nice to see them appreciated"

"My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at Madifushi Private Island, and we pampered from arrival to departure. The resort is new, modern and clean, with the over water villas offering spacious accommodation against pristine views. Our stay was elevated by the incredible staff who looked after us, with a special mention for our butler, Riyann, who was extremely helpful fulfilling our requests and making our stay as enjoyable as possible. There’s a good variety of food available, with 3 restaurants serving deli table food; international and local cuisine. The resort offers plenty of activities, including water sports, tennis, yoga, Pilates, and a luxurious spa to indulge in. We would certainly recommend Madifushi Private Island to anyone considering visiting the Maldives"
