"Stayed at this property for a short night and checked in late. When I arrived all the lights were off and door was locked but a gentleman came out to let me in. Got checked in and given room keys, was told room was in the middle of the building but it was really to the far right upon carrying all of my stuff upstairs we entered a dark room only to discover the room was occupied or uncleaned. Went back down stairs to figure out what was going on, and the guy acted surprised and walked upstairs to check, then he gave me another room. We got into the room and the comforter had a big dirt line across it and tons of hair in the sheets. The floors also looked like they hadn’t been swept or mopped as there was debris all over it. I have ocd about hotel beds and it freaks me out when there is dirty bedding because I used to be a housekeeper for hotels and I know some maids won’t change the sheets if they look clean. It was so late and we were only staying four hours so I got all of the towels and laid them out but even the towels had stuff on them. The only thing that looked clean was the bathroom surprisingly. Also, the fridge handle was broken and hanging off. So overall I wouldn’t stay here again, it definitely doesn’t meet “boutique hotel” standards and checking me into someone’s occupied room could’ve be dangerous for me if that was the case, if it was just uncleaned that tells me they don’t check rooms after their housekeepers. I wanted to love this property but def a 2 star."
