"Amazing staff and absolutely delicious breakfast!! Property was well maintained and welcoming, and the fireplace was lovely in the evening. The rooms are cozy, with spacious modern bathrooms, warm water, and good pressure, which was especially wonderful after a long day of activities. There is limited storage for clothing, just 2 small benches and a few hooks - fine for a solo traveler but could get a bit crowded with 2 people. Special thanks to Jocelyn and Diego for making excellent tour recommendations and coordinating everything, including transportation. They were incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make my stay perfect! Can't wait to return. "

"I really enjoyed my stay at Lomas del Volcán! The property, staff, service, and overall experience made my trip to La Fortuna an absolute dream! The bungalow was immaculate and beautifully decorated, just like the pictures. Nice spacious restroom with water that can get real hot and the outdoor patio was a lovely space to relax. Every interaction I had with staff was positive and everyone very friendly. Front desk customer service was great. Breakfast options were also tasty and the fruit was fresh. I ordered room service for dinner during my stay and they are able to accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences. If you have an allergy, they ask if you do before placing your order which provides an extra sense of safety for us allergic folk :) I ventured off into the pool area and yoga deck during my stay and both very welcoming and clean. I like how open and surrounded by nature the yoga deck is. Perfect place to get your zen on! This is also a nice spot if you're solo traveling. I felt safe! I'd come here again and recommending it to any friends/family visiting La Fortuna!"

"Beautiful property, loved the campus design! Great location. My only comment on the property is it could use some upgrades. Found the mattress to be outdated and hard. They have awesome waterfall shower but the regular shower with jets needs to be cleaned from water build up for it to be usable. Overall enjoyed the stay. "

"Our room was amazing, perfect view of the entire volcano even from my bed. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Evelyn, Jose and Fransisco treated us like royalty. Free breakfast was incredible, poolside food and Emperador restaurant was pretty good. Volcano restaurant had great ambience but food was subpar. Overall was a great value for a 5 star hotel."

"Hotel Sanctuarium is truly a sanctuary. The property is grand and meticulously cared for. Surrounded by tropical jungles, views of the mountains and the valley below, it was by far the best place to stay for our trip to La Fortuna. And it is only a 7 minute drive to the heart of downtown. There is a restaurant on site with exquisite food. Perfect after a long day of activities so we didn’t have to venture back into town every night to find somewhere to eat. They cater to any specific dietary needs. The rooms are big and immaculate. They each have their own wall of windows that open to a large patio where you can sit and view the jungle covered mountains or the vast valley below. From the time we booked (even before we arrived) the staff was so attentive and helpful in getting our excursions arranged, along with transportation. Genesis, Johan, Kevin, Kevin A, Fabiola, Yeraldin, and Dayana pampered us at every turn, delivering drinks and food to us wherever we happened to be on the property. They answered a multitude of questions and showed us around the sanctuary. The staff were all fluent in English so it was easy to communicate but they also welcomed my efforts to speak Spanish. I highly recommend this hotel. It was a truly wonderful experience. Thank you Hotel Sanctuarium for making our stay perfect!"

"Loved the location just a few minutes outside of town. Appreciated the lush landscaping, including the short nature trail & the bird sightings. Enjoyed variety in breakfast buffet plus had a nice dinner at on-site restaurant."
