"It took nearly an hour to check in due to poor admin and what I think was an IT issue, but we where ushered to wait with no explanation or apology. When we finally got to our room we found a pair of the previous occupants underpants behind bathroom door, indicating lack of cleaning. On closer inspection the bathroom was filthy and in desperate need of refurbishment, with poor maintenance, decrepid cabinets, worn out enamel in sink and bath making cleaning impossible. In fact the bath enamel repair paint was flaking off. The room itself was noisy from the elevator and rumbling air con, as well as other guests especially children running up and down corridor late at night. Although the hotel was staffed by well intentioned young people especially in reception and resturants areas they were poorly trained without any obvious supervision. They were slow to respond and unable to take any initiative, hapless to resolve any problems and not at all customer focused or attentive. The food quality poor and expensive for what was on offer, and a breakfast we found silverfish insects running across the counter by the fruit. If you are looking for 5 star haven to escape the chaos, wonders and delights of Varanasi don't stay here, it's truly awful!"

"The location of hotel is good , it is very close to Ghat where Aarti take place. It is about 40 steps below from the hotel and about 3 minutes walk. Rooms are comfortable and staff is very helpful. The last part of access to the hotel from the airport is through narrow lanes. The taxi from the airport drops about 2 Km from the hotel , then auto can take you another 1 Km but last part has to be walked with luggage. I suggest strongly to have some person from the hotel take you to the hotel from the airport. The narrow lanes can be confusing with motor cycles, dogs and some time cows crossing. Otherwise the visit was enjoyable. "
