"The Good - 1. Excellent location to Glacial lagoon and "Diamond Beach". 2. Restaurant is exceptional...cocktails, food and atmosphere exceeded expectations. The Not so Good- 1. Room had a strong odd B/O smell. Tried to ventilate with open windows, fan, and several spritzes of perfume...to no avail. 2. Even though half of Iceland sits on geothermal base....this hotel does not seem to have hot water. A Luke warm shower was disappointing. Perhaps these were one offs..."

"Nice Place, friendly staff. Good views all around the property. A museum on the property that they allow you access to when checking in. Very Interesting. I did not make the dinner in the restaurant but the breakfast was very good. Fresh Lamb on the menu right from their farm. Delicious! Gift shop and book store in lobby. Room had sitting chairs, a work desk and chair, Good bed, good shower, comfortable pillows. The lobby of the building had free coffee and tea station 24/7 and a sitting area....

"Breafast menu was fine, but would have like to have seen some dried fruit options as well as better toasters for bread. The rooms were nice and spacious, beds comfortable for a great night's rest, and the bathroom was a better size than most we experienced so you didn't feel like you had to turn in place to move around."

"This is a nice guesthouse with separate duplexes. The rooms are small and the sink in the bathroom is the smallest sink I have ever seen. Good water pressure and hot water. The room is heated by an electric heater and it was pretty hot. It’s fine for one night. Parking is easy. Staff were pleasant. Dinner was good but pretty expensive."

"Room and kitchen were clean, but the property ran out of hot water by the time we want to take shower. The staff could have been more responsive on this. If you need to take showers, do it right when you arrive."

"Prachtig appartement met een schitterende ligging tegen de berg aan met uitzicht op de waterval. Goede bedden. Boven een vide met 2 bedden, echter geen gordijnen! In het voorjaar/ zomer is de slaapkamer de hele nacht licht. Inchecken via Gerdi guesthouse op 2 minuten rijden."

"Great place to stay with an amazing view! The cabins are all equipped and very well appointed. Beds were very comfortable. Nice touches like in floor heating and a retractable screen in the skylight. "

"I think they have two guesthouses, and we stayed in the older one. (Not sure how that’s assigned, although we did book very last minute). The walls in our room were thin (you could hear distinct voices next door although not what was actually being said), and the bathroom was a bit musty. The breakfast was a great deal and offered fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, and carrot cake."
