"Simply wonderful experience. The Grand Hotel is family owned and almost everyone participates. They are at the front counter one day and serving you food at the hotel restaurant that evening.
The hotel is based on providing a wonderful spa experience. We didn't get a massage but used the sauna's, indoor [colder] pool, the outdoor [hotter] water pool with multiple water jets, and the lounge rooms and loved them all.
The minuses; we didn't have a car and the hotel is way to far above the town to walk so we had to pay 20 Swiss Francs for a cab each way to go to the city, no air conditioning and we were in the middle of a heat wave. The hotel did provide us with a huge rolling fan which combined with opening our window was able to draw in the cool air from outside to help us sleep.
The town is beautiful and the horology museum [our purpose for going] was fantastic."
"Pour le prix rien à redire, le personnel était charmant et efficace.
Les chambres étaient simples mais propres
Hôtel très tranquille idéalement placé près des accès autoroutier.
Idéal pour une escapade dans la région.
Le restaurant fait des excellentes pizzas."
"Clean, nicely renovated, comfy bed, spacious room, nice staff. Only one thing: when there is a heatwave, it would be necessary to have access to ice-cubes -- truly it would not be a luxury at all. I would be ok having to pay a fair price for that, because being able to drink cold water is a health matter."
"This hotel is amazing. It is about 20 minutes from Neuchatel at the bottom of a gorge by a river. The location is peaceful and scenic.
The staff here are superbly hospitable.
The room was very spacious and clean with a big bathroom. If you are wondering about the lack of curtains (there are net curtains), you need to use the shutters which are very effective.
Our evening meal was delicious and the service excellent.
Breakfast was continental style with meats, cheeses, fruits, yoghurt, jam, juice and hot drinks.
We would not hesitate to recommend it."
