Before our arrival, I contacted the hotel on two separate occasions to confirm that our room would have both air conditioning and two beds. On both occasions, I was assured that these requests had been noted and that our room would meet these requirements. "Truly casa da Mariquinhas!! A great stay, walking distance from the train/bus station and super close to the shops and tourist stuff. Drunk people outside were super loud late into the night/early morning but once the window was closed I could barely hear them. Clean and comfortable, had a nice view of a concert in the field across the street, Portugal is fantastic :)"

"It is a clean and nice hotel however they do not provide enough soap. 1 little thing of gel for 2 people. Appalling! When asked where the slippers were and robe the reply was it has not come in yet. The breakfast is nice and clean. The water pressure is bad. It takes so long for the water to drain. The location is awesome."

"The breakfast buffet in the beautifully tiled room was wonderful. They had so many choices of food, fresh and constantly replenished. Coffee and juices if your choice. The staff there are super warm and accommodating. They did a great job. Also the front desk staff were very welcoming and helped us navigate a more comfortable room. They held our luggage after checkout while we roamed around and gave us recommendations on where to go. All in all, the best service."

"The Air conditioning in our room was not working, we were forced to sleep with the sliding door open. Between the noise from the street below and the kitchen right next door, we were unable to get much rest."
