We arrived a few hours early after a long flight, and the young lady at reception didn’t hesitate to check us in a full four hours in advance. We were very happy and grateful for that thoughtful gesture.
The location—one of the main reasons we chose this hotel—was absolutely perfect. It’s just a five-minute walk to the Palace and equally close to the train station, with easy access to shops and restaurants.
The room was very spacious and spotless, and it was cleaned daily during our stay. The bathroom was also large and very well lit. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we loved the fireplace and the overall layout of the room. Breakfast is available every day, though it is not included in the room rate and is charged per person rather than per room.
There were a few minor drawbacks. The closet was quite small, so we ended up keeping most of our clothes in our luggage. Another small inconvenience was that the toilet is in a separate room from the bathroom, meaning you have to go to the bathroom to wash your hands—nothing major, but worth noting. The only truly unpleasant issue was the lack of soundproofing from the room above; every dropped object or heavier step was clearly audible.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and well worth the price. For a 2-star hotel, it exceeded expectations and offered excellent value.
