"Stay here often when I come to Melbourne for family events and it’s always a pleasant experience. It’s an excellent location, lots of things around that you need like public transport, supermarket and a pub on your doorstep. The employees at the front desk are outstanding! They are always very efficient, knowledgeable, helpful & friendly. And…… the beds are so good!"

"Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. TV had many apps and allowed streaming from your own device so entertainment wasn't an issue. Plenty of parking onsite and the laundry facilities are good. There's no onsite food options, although there's fast food a few hundred metres away. Housekeeping is hit and miss, might be okay for a short stay, but I was there for a month and frequently had to go to reception to ask for coffee refills, toilet paper, water etc. and room wasn't cleaned....

Birches Apartment was a good size with a comfortable layout and in a great location close to much of what Melbourne has to offer. The bed was comfortable with good quality Hotel type sheets. Yes it’s a bit tired with the age and style of the building but it’s fairly typical of other places we’ve tried in the past when we need to stay with our two small dogs. "Staff were not helpful at all once 11.30pm hit and we needed to check in. They just totally disregarded the fact we paid for the hotel and wouldn’t check us in. It was disgraceful and disrespectful. Will not be staying there again. Plus didn’t receive refund from the hotel. 0/10 STARS"
