"It was a decent hotel"

"The hotel could have been reached by foot from Terminal 2, but we did not know. We called, as instructed, for the shuttle. The driver asked us to pay him. The room had no window, and lights that would not turn off. The heating/cooling unit was just above our heads, blowing into our noses. Heating was not working so we froze to death that night. Nice receptionist."

"It's an okay hotel. Easy access via hotel transportation from the airport. That's about it."

"The location in the centro gives a non touristy feeling to Rio. Although it’s near the harbor it also is surrounded by businesses. I appreciated this perspective. The hotel itself is grand in stature and the staff are more formal than I’m used to in Rio. It had a very Waldorf feel to it. Beautiful wood and elegance But it’s also a bit minimalist.
