"The hotel was half way up the mountain so it was lovely to have them pick us up from the train station. The town of Varenna was easily reached with a 10 minute walk down the mountain however the uphill trip could be a bit gruelling, there is a free bus that operates from the station after 7pm. The hotel room was well appointed and even had a washing machine which was well used by us. It was a beautiful peaceful setting with pool and spa and a lovely restaurant a few steps away. So many things we loved about this charming hotel… the fantastic location across the road from the lake , a first floor balcony that overlooked the town square and a view of lake, clean room and comfy bed. Easy walk to ferry terminal and all the dining options. One of the highlights of this hotel was the infinity roof top pool - we spent every afternoon taking in the view from this wonderful spot. "Great property just quick 10 min walk from Varenna train station. Perfect proximity to ferries, lovers walk, shops, and food. Right next door to Villa Cipresi. Rooms were modern, clean, bed was comfortable and staff beyond helpful and friendly. Would totally stay again "
