"There was a huge dead cockroach in our room. The rooms were so outdated, and they smelled of humidity. The rug looks like it was from 20 years ago. The paint was bright yellow, making the rooms look extra old. The rooms are not that clean. Staff was helpful, thought, kind, and nice, and moved us to another room after the cockroach."

"Pool was closed. You are obligated to pay for parking, you choose between $35 for valet or $27 self park per day. Front desk advised it is $27 per day, in which resets at midnight, therefore for one overnight stay self park will cost you $54. I booked a room with full bay view, high floor. Little did I know it was overlooking the causeway where I had to listen to cars reving their engine all night. The room smelled musty. I chose The Westin because I stayed here previously a few years ago, and it was different. I will not be returning to this location. I am truly disappointed."

"there was a bright light outside of my room that prevented the room from getting dark at night, making it tough to get a good nights sleep. the pics online made it look better than in person but i guess you get what you pay for. "

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the atmosphere around the property was peaceful and family-friendly. The staff was generally helpful, although service could occasionally be a little slow during busy times. The amenities were enjoyable, especially the pool area and beach access. Some areas of the property could use minor updates and maintenance, but nothing that seriously affected the stay. Overall, Sunset Vista Resort offers a comfortable vacation experience with a great location and relaxing environment. I would consider staying there again.”"

"Very pleased with the hotel, amenities and clean room with a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico. My only complaint would be the parking lot- hard to find a space if you go out to dinner and leave the property, tight spaces and sometimes congested. It all worked out and we had a wonderful time."
