I would recommend sleep in nearby small town over this historical hotel. Historical means history and also old if not well maintained. The overall building is outdated. The air conditioning in our room needs a filter change, the bathroom is old, bathtub pealed off and hot water is just warm. The night shift staff is not...

"Friendly staff. Pool and hot tub are nice. Decent breakfast. Great location. Suite has separate sitting area with door to bedroom and two TVs - perfect for night owl / early bird couples. Walmart, food, gas, etc. in short proximity. Many dining options (Applebees, Ruby Tuesday, Chick Fil A, Burger King, Jersey Mikes, RC Pizza & Subs, Waffle House, and more) all within a couple minutes drive, a few even walkable. Devil's Backbone local brewery a few minutes drive."

I think it was on the expensive side but I do like that my 2 dogs were free so would definitely consider staying there again."

"People were absolutely awesome at the Good Place B&B. I felt so welcomed during my entire stay, from checking in to check in out and every breakfast in between, which were great and delicious by the way. A great place to spend a few days away in nature, but a close drive to many historic locations and natural attractions in the area. The rooms amenities could use some improvement (new towels and linen come to mind). Other than that, I would definitely stay here again. "
