This 5 star property checked all the boxes for a lovely stay. The views of the vineyards were surreal. We relaxed by their pool. Their service is excellent and were served wine with views of the vineyards. We are at their Michelin style restaurant. Our room was custom decorated and the bed was comfortable.

Ett fantastiskt mysigt hotell uppe på kullarna

Efter en lunch nere i Vittorio Veneto landade vi på detta superfina och genuina hotell uppe på kullarna omringat av vinrankor. Personalen var otroligt serviceinriktade och uppmärksammade på behov. En fin pool ute svalkade i värmen och när kvällen kom satt vi och åt en fantastisk middag under stjärnhimlen. Till maten serverades goda lokala viner och servicen var i toppklass! Maten var inte direkt riktade till barnen men de berättade direkt att de kunde ordna annan mat till dem. Mycket uppskattat! Natten spenderades i en mycket rymlig svit med sköna sängar och där barnen sov i bäddsoffa och extrasäng. Stort fint badrum och rummen var mycket fint inredda. Frukosten morgonen därpå var även den mycket bra och nöjda fortsatte vi vår resa. Till detta hotell återkommer vi gärna!

French Sullenness in Italy

The Colonía Resort resides half way up a hill-top with much construction ongoing. Hence, the drive up is nothing short of hairy if you do not drive a large four-by-four. Our racer did not enjoy the steep climb. The staff has no interest whatsoever to help out or to speak one word with their guests. They are sullen and almost aggressive all the time. The restaurant has high ambitions, but since the wait-staff is as "pleasant" as in a French bistró when serving Americans who do not speak a word of French, the whole meal was ruined. The wine-list which much ceremony is presented on a pad has no resemblance to what the restaurant actually has in stock. The suite we had is decorated in some sort of kitchy modern take on Venetian splendour. All in all the Colonía is not worth the visit.

Paradisiac stay in Prosecco country

We warmly recommend a stay at Colonia resort. It is family-run, but feels like staying in a boutique luxury hotel. The owners just started their business in February, 2 weeks before Covid and are now just restarting after 3 months of forced lockdown. All is brand new, with high quality touches, from the super comfortable king size bed to the plush pool towels. Their restaurant is also top notch, modern italian food high quality ingredients, making every dish special and delicious, even the grissinni and butter. An absolute try is the scampi carpaccio, but all the other dishes we tried were also delicious. We booked initially for 2 nights, and extended for one more night. It makes a perfect base for visiting the prosecco region, and you can start the tasting with their long wine list, admiring the beautiful view from their restaurant terrace or the swimming pool.
