"We werden vriendelijk ontvangen, bagage werd voor ons naar boven gebracht en we kregen informatie over ontbijt en diner opties. Omdat we nog een bezoek aan de tempel of tooth wilde brengen werd meteen een tuktuk geregeld. Nala, de eigenaar, kon ons ook voor een heel redelijk bedrag de volgende ochtend met zijn auto naar ons volgende verblijf brengen. Na een goede nacht in de rustige buurt hadden we een lekker ontbijt op het dakterras met mooi uitzicht over het meer en de bergen. Tijdens de rit...

"Lovely place to spend a few nights, the private waterfall/plunge pool on the estate was wonderful, the staff were very helpful and friendly, sitting out on the verandah at sunset (or any time really) was just heavenly. The only negative for me was that meals were a bit pricey"

"Very special place 30 or so minutes outside of Kandy, near Wattegama. A few individual cabin-esque rooms (with en-suite) around a cute courtyard of natural spring pool, pond, hammocks etc. Very attentative hosts who really demonstrate Sri Lankan hospitality at its best. The walk around the spice garden and local village was so interesting. Such a unique bonus to make this more of an experience than just a bed for the night. "We loved our stay at this resort. The drive up was pretty intense as it’s out the way, so we didn’t spend loads of time in the accommodation but wow the views were incredible morning & evening looking out to the river!! Food was nice, staff very friendly. They had dogs on site which were very friendly also. Can be very noisy throughout the night with dogs howling and birds."

Freshly prepared local cuisine for breakfast, great chats with the host, he even arranged for a local spice seller to come and see us, so now we have enough, high quality, spices to last for a good while.
