"We were upgraded to an excellent room in the millennium hotel next door, which is a top hotel. We have no issue with this hotel, it is excellent as are its facilities. The review I have given is for the Oasis room we were originally allocated, ie thread bare carpet and ripped curtains, room was in poor overall condition.

"Good location, we could easily walk to town. The pool was good, small but good.
Parking would be a problem if a units guests brought more than one car.
Amenities sounded great, but we could not use our spa bath as they ran out of hot water. Also promoted unlimited wifi, technically true but it always said connected with no internet, and these days that was not acceptable. For these reasons we will not be looking to stay there when next in taupo."

"The room was clean, had everything we needed , beds were comfy very comfy , had all the amenities including air con and running hot water which catered to me and my family of 4. Very quiet and you even get views of Lake Taupo from the room . For the price we paid we got more than we bargained for 👏. Props to the house keepers whom work hard day in day out to get these rooms looking the way they do for guests.
Only downside is when you’re going to the pools be mindful it’s A steep walk down and...
