The hosts Gloria and Stephen were so friendly and sweet! The house is beyond gorgeous and incredibly cozy. The room itself was beautifully appointed and we had a claw foot bathtub (swoon)! Breakfast every morning was delicious. Would love to return someday!
Our stay at this B&B was extraordinary! One of the best places we have ever stayed…the proprietors Steve & Gloria were gracious and made the stay warm and welcoming. We enjoyed learning about the history of the house. They mentioned that they had traveled extensively prior to buying the inn and knew what they had enjoyed at the best hotels and inns - and they were spot on. From the coffe, tea, cookies and snack available in the entry hall to the beautiful eclectic rooms, it was just the place you wanted to relax and enjoy. The sitting rooms had books and games to enjoy, and the yard was beautifully landscaped for sitting outside. Our room, the Woodstock Suite, had beautiful decor and a very comfortable bed. The en-suite bath was spotlessly clean. There were soft robes and fluffy towels.
Their breakfasts were incredible with home baked pastries, fruit parfaits, French toast, and frittatas….different every day. Everything made for a great stay..and we hated to leave.
The inn was perfect, the house is immaculate and very beautifully decorated. The owners were very accommodating and served a delicious breakfast. I wish I could live in that house forever. The perfect Vermont experience.
The I.B.Munson house is beautiful and well cared-for. The innkeepers were friendly and accommodating, with great recommendations for restaurants and activities. They even lent us their snowshoes, and prepared fresh baked goods each afternoon. Breakfasts were delicious and filling. If you want to be in the middle of the action, a larger town might suit you better than Wallingford, but we found it easy enough to get to nearby towns such as Rutland, Dorset, and Manchester, as well as a few ski mountains. We will be back!
