"It was missing many items to make it feel like the comforts of home. We really missed having a working ice maker. There was one in the freezer but it did not make ice. The glassware and coffee cups were very small. No throw blankets. Temperature was too warm or too cool- thermostat hard to control."

"The outside of the building looks good. But inside the room was outdated. It worked fine for the night. Regular old fashioned double beds. The pool was closed before we returned from our Historical Ghost Walk tour. Light continental breakfast. Staff was friendly"

"The location is impossible to beat, and we'd certainly stay here again for the convenience. However, we had more than one odd interactions with staff that were inexplicably brusque or rude. I usually don't leave such comments, because I'm not looking for special treatment, but eye contact and a willingness to help someone in a store or cafe seem a baseline for such a storied property."

"The house was beautiful and was in the perfect location. We were able to walk everywhere and not move the car. I loved the fact we had a guaranteed parking space. The parlor with coffee and tea were perfect. The check in process was super easy and all the messages about check in and out we're helpful."
