"We did run late for check in and it was great to have the keys ready for us by the reception desk without the need for interaction. In that way, it was all very discreet and we didn't have much interaction with the staff at the property having made the booking via Hotels.com
We were celebrating a special occasion with family and all stayed at the property which was an ideal location to both Cardrona and the night hum of Wanaka. We were able to escape to ski during the day and meet up at the outdoor fireplace in the evening, with everything we needed to get the fire going provided thoughtfully. The servicing of our rooms was seamless and the lodge feel of the property had the perfect winter vibe. The water pressure in the showers was outstanding and just what we needed after a frosty day on the slopes to ensure that we were all warm and comfortable.
We did have a neighbourhood cat that wanted to make friends and we were happy to oblige! Both the cat and ourselves enjoyed the provision of milk, finding that other properties we stayed at, did not offer this convenience.
