"Great place to stay.
Spacious bedroom with a good bed and quality bedding. Radio and TV in the room plus tea and coffee making facilities plus welcome shortbread on arrival.
The food was excellent and the staff were friendly.
It is situated on a busy road but don’t let that put you off - see if you can get one of the quieter rooms at the back.
Worth a visit and situated in a great area/countryside."

"Welcoming, friendly staff, clean and well maintained room and property, super comfy bed. Breakfast and dinner offered a variety of fresh cooked meals which were really good. The pub has its own car park too. Quiet at night considering the location in the middle of the village, great to have a window that opened in my bedroom with a decent blackout blind. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone. A true hidden gem of local hospitality."

"We arrived around 5:00Pm, for a long weekend the wether was stormy. We struggled to find the place as it is in the middle of nowhere next to a farmhouse.
The layout was good with ample space but there’s no shower gels or hand washing soap in bathrooms.
Heating stopped working the next day. Tried contacting the Sykes office and unable to get through.
Eventually managed to get through to someone who sent an engineer to fix it.
Poor internet connection and satellite signal for sat navigation in...

"We were not told there would be a wedding in progress so the music was quite loud until 11pm.
There was no option for early takeaway breakfast at 8am, and no option for room only.
The restaurant still set up for wedding, with chairs stacked up.The female staff in the restaurant were very nice and the food excellent, something a bit different.
Our shower head kept falling down & the toilet flush handle broken.
The room was spotlessly clean."

"On arrival we were greeted by the 2 staff on duty and after a short wait (because we arrived early and a room change) we were shown to the room and the breakfast was explained to us as was the after hours procedure. All staff we met were very friendly and very helpful.
The breakfast was very good, lovely to be able to sit outside and enjoy the early morning sun. It was also nice to be able to sit outside in the evening
The room was clean and we had a fan to help try and keep the room cool...

"A wonderful place to stay. A fantastic old building with so much character and lovely country views.
