The rooms were filthy- stains everywhere and on everything. I had to wash all kitchenware before use because it was so dirty. I was going to run a load of dishes before I checked out, but the dishwasher was full of stank, stale water. There were stains on everything in this room.
Additionally, I went down to the front desk to ask to extend my checkout from 11 am until 1pm for late check out. She told me they wouldn’t be able to do that, and that they could only extend it for “an hour.” I was happy with that, and expected to pay the $50 late fee. I was then met at my room by two different people 15 minutes apart. The woman who I spoke to at the front desk told me she said “11:30,” which is simply not true. She said “an hour.” So they basically kicked me out of the room after promising it to me for an extra hour. On the plus side, they didn’t charge me their egregious rate of $50/hour (that I know of yet), and the location is great. Located right near metro stations, cafes, food, dupont circle, and georgetown. Definitely a great area to stay in, but not a great hotel.
