"The air conditioner may made a terrible noise every time it cut on the. Refrigerator leaked into the floor , all of the bathroom tiles in the floor were loose. WORST night ever!! I spoke with the maintenance man the following day and the manager trying to get a refund or at least another nights stay and they told me basically in no uncertain terms that wasn't going to happen."

"From the moment we checked in we enjoyed everything. From the polite people at the desk to the beautiful pool and view of the beach. The room was perfect for our stay nothing fancy but perfect price point. The rooms were super clean only con is the pillows weren't the best but we lived so my only recommendation is bring your own pillow other than that it was perrrrrfect. Also they have a tiki bar at the pool bartenders are great and drinks are so good!"

"It's a newer Tru and very nice property. Right beside Topsail Hill and there's a Donut Hole right down the sidewalk. You can tell the staff really cares and takes a lot of pride in the property. The Wednesday night reception was something I'd never experienced before at a smaller hotel. The king rooms are great for two people. If you have more than two, then you'll need a larger room."

The pictures looked nice on the website but they are totally the opposite, the place is old, dated, everything inside is dirty and old and smells bad, bathroom had urine odor, is not maintained as it should cause their rent is no so cheap. "The room was great and worth the price. The only negative thing I have to say is that the tub needed to be cleaned other than that everything was great. The free laundry was definitely a plus. The front desk staff was beyond amazing!"

"Overall not bad for the price ( I used Expedia) and pretty much what I expected. The lounge chair needed a good steam cleaning and the floor better mopping but otherwise acceptable. On a down note the night desk never did pick up my call from the room phone as I had a question to ask so that was irritating. "the stay was ok. biggest drawback was the noisy air conditioner. the staff was good and accommodating, getting what we needed timely. as others have stated, the hotel is old and needs some refreshing, but suppose was ok for the money, but did not research other hotels and rental places enough to tell, and booked here because the times and price could work at the time."
