"I think this property is in the process of becoming a wonderful inn, but is not there yet. Under new ownership the past couple of years, the two brothers who own it seem serious about creating a first class stay experience, but still have some work to do. The fireplace pilot should have been turned on so we could enjoy it, since that was one of the reasons I booked our room there and no one was available to request that it be working. Lighting in the room was quite poor, with some burnt out...

"This hotel was perfect for our stay. The hotel is super clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff at the front desk was great - I left my jewelry behind and the nice man at the front desk helped me find it! I would definitely recommend (also- this would be a great Christmas getaway- the lobby is very cozy and inviting)!"

"The hotel is in a beautiful setting, and the lobby is bright and clean. It offers many amenities, including an espresso and cappuccino machine.
However, our room featured, dirty, upholstered, chairs, and furniture that looked like it came from a Salvation Army fire sale. In addition, our room had no closet, only some hooks on which we could hang our clothing. The hotel definitely needs to refurbish its rooms, or else lower prices to match what they offer in terms of value."

"The staff was helpful at check in and with giving us a first floor room. The ac/heat was very noisy, as was the bathroom fan, plus it was missing a cover over the light.
What I really had an issue with was the power going out in town and zero support from anyone from the hotel. There was no one in the office and no one came back, and Our phone calls to the office were of no help. We had to try and call family back home to get numbers for local power to see what was going on. Our phone reception...
