"I felt safe as a single traveler. The parking lot was well lit and maintained. The room was clean and comfortable. They did a nice job remodeling the rooms. The breakfast bar was well stocked and maintained. Everything was neat and clean. I would happily stay here again."

"Pool was closed, room was so messed up with shower tub that would not work or drain, shower curtain was so short that water ran onto floor, toilet would not flush. Bugs on walls. Front desk was nice and gave us different room. Homeless people living in their cars in the back parking lot. After battling with Expedia the previous day over trying to cancel reservation because I accidentally entered wrong day, if Expedia gave a crap they would cut me half off $$ on Best Western, but I'm not...

"It’s old and dirty"

"We had a wonderful stay! The hotel is well-priced and includes parking and breakfast with a hot grab-and-go breakfast sandwich option. The $7/day unlimited shuttle to downtown Charleston is a total steal and incredibly convenient. The staff was highly attentive, helpful, and focused on comfort. A lovely bonus was the evening snack station featuring sweet and salty treats with cold fruit-infused water. Will stay here again."

"The place was generally good. The elevator could use a cleaning. The room- linens and surfaces were very clean. The beds were comfortable. Carpets could use a cleaning, not vacuum but a real cleaning. The front desk staff were very helpful however, it was not possible to get change for a $20 bill. We liked the coffee service. We enjoyed the breakfast and the nice lady that prepared it. This is a well run hotel."

"Wi-Fi works good"

"Location was great. Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly. Pool was good. AC was cold. Room was outdated for a Mariott property. Water pressure was terrible the whole stay. It took me 5xs longer to shower just to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. Baseboards were peeling off the walls and the tub was slow draining. The elevator was sketchy and made a super scary jerking movement. Overall, a decent place to stay but I think I’ll stay at another mariott next time."

"They were over booked. Tried to put us in two separate rooms but I had not seen my family in 2 years. They said they could refund us but still haven't in 5 days. We stayed at a lovely little bungalow that accommodated all 6 of us including an outdoor shower."

"I have never been to a hotel this gross....disgusting is an understatement! The rooms dirty! The hallways common areas elevator everything dirty! The entire hotel smelled bad and felt sticky. The 2 rooms we were in smelled horrible. Correction 3 because we had got one of the rooms switched because the air conditioning would not work and toliet would not flush...and the staff member had attitude when I told him something was wrong! I asked for towels and he huffed about that I got new stained...

"I have been coming to Middleton for over 20 years and I am still in love with its serenity and charm. The only negative I could say is that the free breakfast while it has a lot of options needs a little TLC to make it enjoyable. The Inn and the grounds are a peaceful oasis and much needed break from all of life’s hustle and bustle."
